Summary

The Former PMI Information Systems Specific Interest Group has funded the creation of The PMI Professional Development Scholarship for Information Systems endowment fund to assist project managers in funding continuing education coursework to be used for professional development related to information systems and information technology in project management or project management in general.

This endowment fund will provide funding for a number of scholarships annually valued up to US$1,000 annually and until the revenue created by the endowment fund are expanded for the year.  Scholarships may be awarded in whole or in part to one or more individuals during each scholarship cycle.

Application and Notification

To apply for this scholarship, please complete the Professional Development Scholarships Application. When you complete the application, you will be considered for all professional development scholarships for which you meet the criteria, so separate applications are not required. 

Applications from interested candidates must be received by PMIEF no later than April 1, each year. All notification of application status will be made to the email address you provide in your scholarship application.  Upon award, the recipient must register and pay for his/her professional development course and then send confirmation of registration and payment to PMIEF.

Upon receipt of this documentation, PMIEF will reimburse the recipient(s) up to the value of the scholarship amount awarded.

Criteria

Scholarships will be awarded in the following order of priority:

  1. Any individual in the information systems and information technology fields planning to attend a classroom or online course related to project management. Applicants must specify the course on the scholarship application form.
