Planned Giving

Planning Your Legacy Gift to PMIEF:

The decision to include PMIEF in your future plans will multiply the impact you can have for decades to come.
Leave a legacy of project management education when you remember PMIEF in your will or revocable living trust. Give a fixed amount, a percentage of your estate, or securities such as stocks or bonds. As with any decision regarding your assets, please seek the advice of professional counsel when considering an estate gift to PMIEF.

As you consult with your estate planning attorney, please share the following sample language to help you meet your philanthropic goals:

Sample Charitable Bequest Language  “I, [name], of [city, state/province, ZIP/postal code, country], give, devise and bequeath to the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation [written amount or percentage of the estate or description of the property] for its unrestricted use and purpose.”

This type of gift offers:

Flexibility—Structure your bequest to leave a specific amount or percentage of your estate with the option to change your mind at any time by altering the language in your will or trust.

Tax Relief—If your estate is subject to estate tax, a bequest to a qualified nonprofit organization will provide an estate tax charitable deduction for the full value of the gift.

Peace of Mind—Your loved ones will be reassured that your end-of-life wishes are known and honored.
