Judging and Recognition

Judging Criteria

Final selection of the winning papers will be made by a panel of experts in project management. These experts will place emphasis on originality of presented concept(s), applicability to the field of project management, practical applications of the concept, and suitability for presentation at one of PMI’s Global Conferences. One International Student Paper Award will be awarded at each of PMI’s four global conferences. 

Candidates whose papers are selected for presentation will be notified via formal letter. PMI Educational Foundation reserves the right to elect not to present an award on the basis of papers received. Any individual who is or was a student in good standing at an institute of higher learning during the period covered by the nomination.

Recognition of Recipients

Recipients of the International Student Paper of the Year Award receive a trip to their respective regional PMI Global Conference, where their paper is formally presented. In addition, each winning author will receive a cash award of US$500.

Photographs and biographical information of the International Student Paper of the Year Award recipients will also be published in PMI and PMIEF publications.
