The Association for Career & Technical Education (ACTE) featured the Asia Society and MBAResearch & Curriculum Center, two PMIEF grantees, in the November/December 2017 edition of its Techniques magazine. Both recently executed project management-rich career and technical education (CTE) initiatives with the foundation’s support. To read the articles, click here.

“Global CTE Projects: Get on the Bus!” discusses how PMIEF’s 2015 grant to the Asia Society for its Global Competence through Career and Technical Education (“GCCTE”) initiative inspired a culinary arts teacher to engage her students as project managers in a community project to mitigate food insecurity. “Teachers as Project Managers: Leveraging Project Management to Build Exemplary CTE Programs” highlights how the foundation’s grant to MBAResearch delivered in-depth project management professional development to a small cohort of CTE teachers through a year-long, intensive experience that required them to learn by doing.

Written for career and technical educators by career and technical educators, Techniques addresses the issues the CTE sector cares about most and reaches ACTE’s 24,000 members eight times per year.
